Every other week we discuss the progress and next steps of Project 2, led by Andrea Alú (CUNY), Pierre Lucas (University of Arizona), and Yuanxun E. Wang (UCLA). This cutting-edge project focuses on the design and implementation of acoustic wave (AW) devices, with the potential to revolutionize telecommunications through topologically protected acoustic waves that are immune to backscattering.

  • Reduced Power Consumption: Achieving lower insertion loss.
  • Innovative Materials: Utilizing low-cost, industry-accepted materials with high elasticity and reconfigurability.
