Growth You Can Hear!
In just 17 weeks, NewFoS has accelerated its research momentum, increasing its total peer-reviewed publications from 38 to 58—an addition of 20 new papers that highlights the center’s rapid scientific progress and expanding influence in topological acoustics.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, the center now reports 58 peer-reviewed publications, 9 invention disclosures advancing toward patent pathways, and 11 additional manuscripts currently under review or in preparation. Its collaborative network includes more than 100 researchers spanning nine U.S. institutions.
NewFoS is led by Pierre A. Deymier at the University of Arizona, with partner teams from California Institute of Technology, City University of New York, University of Vermont, Spelman College, University of Alaska Fairbanks, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Colorado Boulder, and Wayne State University.
From foundational discovery to technology translation, the center continues to strengthen U.S. leadership in emerging acoustic science while driving innovations with real-world societal impact. Observers note that the rapid publication growth signals not only productivity, but also a thriving, collaborative research ecosystem poised for continued breakthroughs.
