The University of Arizona has announced the appointment of Dr. Krishna Muralidharan, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, as the new Director of the Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Dr. Muralidharan is widely recognized for his expertise in advanced materials and his commitment to innovation at the intersection of science and technology. As senior personnel with the NSF-funded New Frontiers of Sound (NewFoS) Center, he has played a key role in advancing research in topological acoustics and next-generation technologies.

In his new leadership role, Dr. Muralidharan will guide the Center in driving semiconductor innovation, strengthening industry partnerships, and fostering workforce development across Arizona and beyond. His vision and leadership are expected to position the Center as a catalyst for progress in the rapidly evolving semiconductor landscape.
