Scientific Collaboration Strengthened During Visit to UNAM, Mexico

July 30-31, 2024 – KT team, Keith Runge and Araceli Hernandez Granados embarked on a productive visit to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Morelos, Mexico, fostering scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange. The visit was marked by multiple presentations, meetings, and facility tours, emphasizing advancements in research and innovation.
Engagements at Escuela de Física
Araceli Hernandez Granados delivered an insightful presentation titled “Quick Look at NewFoS” at the Escuela de Física, providing an overview of the latest developments in the NewFoS project. The presentation, held at 11:00 AM, was attended by students and faculty members who engaged in discussions about the research implications.
Keith Runge also presented at the Escuela de Física on “Overview of NewFoS Research,” offering a comprehensive look at ongoing research efforts and their potential applications. The session, held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, generated meaningful discussions on future research directions and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Visits to IER UNAM and Research Group Meetings
Keith and Araceli visited the Institute of Renewable Energy (IER) at UNAM, where they engaged with researchers and explored cutting-edge facilities. The visit facilitated discussions on sustainable energy solutions and technological innovations in the field.
A key highlight was their meeting with Karla Cedano, Manuel Martinez and their research group, where they exchanged ideas on ongoing projects and explored opportunities for future collaborations. The session allowed for an in-depth discussion on research methodologies and practical applications.
