The AGU Fall Meeting in December 2024, Washington, D.C., featured Bingxu Luo from the University of Arizona, who presented research on seismic monitoring and environmental sensing.

Luo’s first poster, Seismic Monitoring of Baseflow and Groundwater Changes in Yellowstone National Park, examined groundwater dynamics using seismic techniques, offering insights into hydrological and geothermal processes.

His second presentation, Geometric Phase Sensing of Environmental Changes Based on Seismic Noise, explored how seismic noise analysis detected subtle environmental shifts, providing a novel tool for long-term monitoring.

Luo’s work highlighted the power of geophysical research in understanding environmental changes, making significant contributions to seismology and hydrology at AGU 2024.
