Student Researchers Drive Innovation at NewFoS: David Cavalluzzi.

Here at New Frontiers of Sound (NewFoS) STC, students collaborate with top researchers in the emerging field of topological acoustics, exploring the full potential of acoustic waves. Launched in 2023 with a $30 million NSF grant, NewFoS unites experts from eight prestigious institutions, including Caltech and Georgia Tech.

David Cavalluzzi, a junior in electrical and computer engineering, has been contributing to groundbreaking research at the center. His work focuses on adapting Shor's Algorithm for sound waves, with potential applications in data encryption and quantum computing. "This experience has boosted my confidence in tackling complex challenges," Cavalluzzi said.
