Polytec × NewFoS Tech Day

On March 24, the New Frontiers of Sound (NewFoS) Science and Technology Center will host Polytec × NewFoS Tech Day at the Grand Challenges Research Building (GCRB), Floor 1. This collaborative event is designed to foster shared learning, technical exchange, and hands-on engagement around advanced measurement technologies.

Developed in partnership with Polytec, the Tech Day brings together researchers and students from across our community to engage directly with Polytec technical experts. Participants will have the opportunity to ask practical questions about maximizing the measurement tools already in use, share current research challenges and workflows, and explore best practices through live demonstrations and interactive sessions.

This event reflects the strong collaboration between Polytec and NewFoS. Together, we aim to align measurement capabilities with real research needs across our center, learn from how NewFoS members are applying Polytec systems in ongoing projects, and strengthen the feedback loop between tool developers and researchers.

Polytec experts will review examples of current work across partner institutions, including the University of Arizona, highlighting how existing systems are advancing research and innovation.

At its core, Polytec × NewFoS Tech Day is about deepening technical understanding and supporting our community’s research through shared expertise and hands-on collaboration.
