Shruti Singh Advances to PhD Studies

New Frontiers of Sound (NewFoS) proudly celebrates the academic achievement of Shruti Singh, who has successfully defended her Master of Science thesis at the University of Arizona and is continuing her academic journey as a PhD student.

Her MS thesis, Non-destructive Evaluation of Sustainable Cementitious Materials Using Ultrasonic Techniques, focused on applying advanced ultrasonic methods to evaluate sustainable cementitious materials without causing structural damage. This research contributes to improved durability assessment and supports the development of more sustainable infrastructure systems.

During her graduate studies, Shruti also contributed to peer-reviewed research advancing non-destructive testing methods for cementitious materials, including recent publications in Materials (2026) and the Journal of Non-Destructive Testing & Evaluation (2025).

NewFoS congratulates Shruti on this important milestone and looks forward to the innovative research she will continue to pursue during her PhD studies.
